As always, Unconference challenges traditional formats of conference, offering rooms for speakers to communicate and interact with audience through various formats of presentations (e.g. short video screening, demonstration, performances etc.). This year Unconference invites international and local professionals to share and discuss their views towards future food (culture), as well as the future that connects us through technology, which resonates the double meaning of Microwave 2019's curatorial title 'E.A.T.' – eat and Experiment in Art and Technology.
反轉研討會一如以往想要跨越傳統硏討會的形式，不只是單向式發表針對議題的專業論文，而是以不同方式（包括短片放映、演講、代入式劇場等）分享命題及與觀眾互動。是次活動邀請到國際及本地的講者分享對於未來的看法，緊扣2019年藝術節的策展主題「E.A.T.」；與飲食文化息息相關，E.A.T.一語雙意，談的不單是飲食，還會涉及科技的未來性發展。
